GRAMMY'S 2013

Frank Ocean in a blue outfit. It's a little bit between a suit and sportswear.

Gotye and Kimbara, Let me just say.... I HATE THE DRESS

Adele looking beautiful in Valentino. I would have added a belt and worn different shoes. But I'm glad she's not wearing black.

Katy Perry in Gucci. This is one of my Best Dressed nominees. I love it!

Taylor Swift in J.Mendel. I think it's gorgeous!

Beyoncé in a monochrome Osman jumpsuit. I love it, but just not for the Grammy's

Wiz Khalifa and Miguel perform in outfits that referenced Louis Vuitton

Florence Welch in Givenchy's 2009 Autumn/Winter couture collection. I hate this Lizzard dress.

Jennifer Lopez disappointed me. The one-leg thing has already been done...

Another best dresses nominee for me, Kelly Rowland in George Chakra

Amber Rose looks beautiful for a heavily pregnant woman

Rihanna in Azzedine Alaia. I am in  love!

Solange wore Ralph and Russo. This woman doesn't even have to try, too too beautiful.

My best nominees, Taylor Swift, Adele and Katy Perry.

Saying 'I Do' in a Pnina Tornai Wedding Dress

Someone just asked me what I did this Saturday. Apart from a doctor’s appointment and going to the post office, all I did was laze around and watch TV! That’s a perfect Saturday if you ask me! I really enjoy watching the Crime channel, but there’s a show that I enjoy just as much, if not more. And that show is …. Drumroll please…. “Say Yes to the Dress”

Just like most girls, I get excited thinking about weddings. And for as long as I can remember I have wanted to have a white wedding, never given much thought to a traditional wedding. I have claimed about 25 wedding dresses as THE ONE before, and I’ll definitely still change my mind a few times too.
So I’ll sit glued to the TV and judge all the dresses the brides try out. I’ll like some dresses, hate a lot of dresses, sneer at some dresses, occasionally scream ‘What on earth are you thinking?’ and a lot of times I LOVE the dresses. It has occurred to me that the dresses that I tend to love are by one designer, Pnina Tornai. Now THAT woman knows what glamour is. Her wedding dresses are glamorous, stylish, modern, elegant and well… expensive! Good luck to the man that’s going to marry me because I WANT A PNINA TORNAI GOWN!
Here are a few of her dresses

All the above dresses are gorgeous. There's one particular one that I'm loving now. NOTE I said NOW, because by the time wedding bells start ringing in my life, I will have changed my mind.
Below is my favourite dress:

MY WINTER LOVE STORY WITH CLINIQUE'S MOISTURE SURGE

There are 2 things you should know about me:
1. I am a SUMMER - LOVER
2. I am a FRIDAY - lover
Each winter I curl up into a cocoon of some sort and wait with baited breadth for the sun to start making its way back into my life. I hate feeling cold and having to dress up in bundles and bundles of clothes.
As if I don’t have enough issues with winter as it is, it had to take a toll on my skin too. *sigh*
In spring, summer and autumn I would say I have a combination-to-oily skin. But come winter, my skin is dry and flaky.  And after I put on my foundation, it feels even drier.
I use Clinique’s 3 step (number 3 for combination to oily skin), twice a day, religiously, every day and I swear by it!

The 3-Step Skin System that I use twice daily

So I cleanse with the soap,

exfoliate with the clarifying lotion

and then moisturize with the Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel.

It has made a huge difference to my skin. My skin is much softer now and it looks and feels healthier.
With winter upon us, my skin still felt a little bit dry after the 3 Step skincare system. I went to the Clinique counter and spoke to one of the consultants. She recommended the Moisture Surge and I am proud to say that I AM IN LOVE!
Now THIS product is my new favourite! Because I have combination –oily skin, I was worried that the moisturizer would be too thick or oily, but Moisture Surge applies easily; it moisturizes and still feels light on the skin.
So after I use the 3 Step, I know put on Moisture Surge and feel my skin drink and shine from thirst relief. You think I am being a bit too dramatic? Try it yourself and you’ll see what I mean.

This is what Moisture Surge looks like inside the jar

I love the packaging- very feminine

Till next time,
