Touch of Print

I went to pay my bills on Friday night, and ofcourse bought a little something small  *wink*. Imagine my shock and laughter when my 8 year old niece Asante said to me " Aunty Modiegi, those are such ugly shoes!"

Anyway, I loved them when I saw them at Edgars, and they were on sale so I totally couldn't resist.

I wore them to work on Monday because it's a random casual day since most people took Monday off *Side-eyeing all the people that are lazying around at home*

Now, imagine how excited I was to see one of my favourite bloggers, Carlinn from http://www.superficialgirls.com/ wearing the same shoes in one of her blog posts! She is a fashionista OF NOTE!!!! The fashion god's must be smiling down on me.

Here is a link to her post and I'll include her picture along with one of my shoes. (http://www.superficialgirls.com/search?updated-max=2012-03-16T15:54:00%2B02:00&max-results=6&reverse-paginate=true)

How I wish I could send a link to my niece Asante to show her. Oh well, I'll save this and show it to her when she's older!

Spotted At The Office

What STATEMENT PIECE did I spot at the office today?

You know M.A.C right? The make-up brand.  Their store consultants are always wearing black and playing their own loud music in Edgars? Yes, them with all the tattoos and piercings.
Well the M.A.C Marketing department here at head office also wears black all the time, like ALL THE TIME!  And somehow they also rock the best accessories!
Check out this STATEMENT NECK PIECE worn by Tshifhiwa Ratshikhopha, who is the Brand Assistant for M.A.C. It is gorgeous! She bought it at a boutique in Hyde Park.
Check her nails, that’s the latest trend here in the office too. One nail a different colour - LOVE! But that’s information for another blog post!
Doesn’t she have the most beautiful smile you’ve ever seen?

#BestFootForward

I follow the gorgeous and outspoken Dineo Ranaka on twitter @dineoranaka. This past weekend she asked her followers to send in a pic of the shoes they were wearing with #BestFootForward hashtag. The heels that were retweeted were so gorgeous! I saved a few to share with you! Feast your eyes...

Looking into my cupboard now, if I had to choose my #BestFootForward (favourite pair of heels) it would have to be these brown studded wedges from Rage

Enjoy your day and stay glamorous! xoxoxo

Easter Weekend Music Festival

I do not drink alcohol – AT ALL, but today I feel like what I always imagined a hangover would feel like. You see, I am from Kgapane in Tzaneen. I woke up at 3 a.m. on Friday morning to get ready and was on my way out of Johannesburg at 4 a.m. I was home by 11 a.m. which took longer than usual. Usually it’s only a 5 hour drive from Johannesburg to Tzaneen.
This time it took longer because not only was it  the Easter weekend but the ZCC church members were all driving to Moria, which is in Polokwane. The N1 was a nightmare

Anyway, Friday evening I attended a concert at my old high school Hoerskool Merensky. I hadn’t gone back there since my Grade 12 year so it was like a trip down memory lane. The only reason I went to the concert was because according to the posters plastered all over town, 340ml was also going to perform… but they didn’t.
I like rock music and artists such as The Parlotones, Maroon5, Linkin Park, Coldplay, Daughtry, Nickelback, The Script, Kelly Clarkson and Avril Lavigne. So I was really looking forward to 340ml. Anyway, the rest of the lineup included Zahara, Big Nuz, Winnie Khumalo, Oliver Mtukudzi and Ringo Madlingozi. The only artists that pitched were Zahara, Big Nuz and Winnie Khumalo.

There was a huge turn up and the crowd was excited to see the artists that did pitch. I am not a fan of the artists but I had a great time. The crowd was so happy to see Zahara and they sang along to all the songs she sang. I love the dress and shoes that Zahara wore, gorgeous. I hope you will be able to see them in the photos I took.

Winnie Khumalo, WOW, that woman can dance! I quite enjoyed her performance and would definitely pay to see her again. I especially enjoyed it when Zahara and Winnie Khumalo both sang some of Brenda Fassie’s songs- another trip down memory lane.Big Nuz also performed well and the crowd loved them even though they were cut short by an electrical failure.

All in all I was up for about 24 hours because I only went back to bed at 3 a.m. on Saturday morning. I was beyond exhausted. But like my cousin Bridget always says “You Rest – You Rust!!”

Spotted At The Office

So what GLAM-NESS did I spot walking past my desk at the office today? I died and went straight to heaven I tell you!
